Noho haumaru – stay safe and self-sovereign - Dr Rawiri Taonui (Te Tai Tokerau).
Noho haumaru means to stay put and protect yourself. Yes, we now know that we move to Level 3 on 28 April. Yes, we know Level 3 looks almost the same as Level 4 (but with KFC) and our rāhui remains in force. And so, our message and our kaupapa stays the same. It’s up to US to #ProtectOurWhakapapa. We need to keep safe no matter what the level is – and that means staying home, kia noho haumaru.
